Purpose and Objectives of NAIL for PET
NAIL is organized for independent testing laboratories.
However, we welcome investor owned utilities, government agencies, and
manufacturers as associate members.
The formation of NAIL provides a forum where members can
communicate, discuss mutual problems, and work toward their solution.
NAIL helps develop uniformity in testing and works in close association
with the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM)
and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). General involvement
of upgrading members' facilities and test procedures, helping its members
keep informed regarding new government regulations is done while encouraging
its member organizations to act collectively and individually to protect
the integrity of our profession.
NAIL accredited laboratories are charged to place service,
candor, justice, and the public welfare in safety before profit and personal
advantage. NAIL promotes both state and federal product liability legislation
on tort revision that will be fair and equitable to all parties concerned
and encourages its members to protect their independence and rights in
the free enterprise system.
