NAIL offers three paths of affiliation
for interested parties:
Regular Membership
Independent testing laboratories are invited
to become members of NAIL. All members of the organization must be fully
accredited test laboratories. There is a $100 fee to become a member,
and membership is subject to approval by the NAIL board of directors,
and subject to passing the accreditation program (additional fees involved)
to become an accredited laboratory.
Associate Membership
Investor owned utilities, government agencies,
and manufacturers are invited to become associate members. Associate
members may or may not submit to the accreditation program. There is
a $100 fee to become an associate member, and membership is subject
to approval by the NAIL board of directors.
Nonmember Accredited Labs
Organizations which have testing facilities,
but are otherwise ineligible or uninterested in membership or associate
membership in NAIL may go through the accreditation process to become
a NAIL accredited laboratory without actually becoming a member of NAIL.
There are fees involved with the accreditation process.
